Day 1 - 4: Welcome to Botswana! Khwai Concessions, Okavango

Upon your arrival at Maun Airport in Botswana, you will charter a scheduled flight to African Bush Camps Khwai Leadwood, which boasts spectacular views of the Khwai River. Upon your arrival at Khwai Leadwood, you will check-in at your accommodation, enjoy a meal and relax before your first safari activity. Khwai Concessions are found on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana and is the ideal place for you to begin your African safari adventure tours. Enjoy the following included activities:

• Early morning and late afternoon Game Drives are the best times to see the animals as they gather around watering holes and seek out their prey for their next meal. Animals found in Khwai Concessions are elephant, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, eland, sable, hippo, hyena and nocturnal species.
  
• Bird Watching from Khwai Leadwood is a delightful experience. Listen for the call of the Green Heron or the African wood owl. Photograph the majestic Pel's fishing owl and Ayers's hawk-eagle. Alternatively, relax and listen to their beautiful songs.
  
• Walking safaris from Khwai Leadwood is one of the most thrilling experiences. Lead by an experienced, armed guide/ranger, who is passionate about the bush and its wildlife and will gladly share their stories with you. Note that walking safaris are only permitted when the bush is not too thick and guides must be armed.
• Cultural visits from Khwai Leadwood are for those interested in engaging with the locals and experiencing their way of life.
• Mokoro Safaris are a unique way to cruise the Khwai River, gliding by the hippos and elephants who are quenching their thirst. The Mokoro was traditionally made from a tree trunk, dugout to make a canoe, but today it is made from fiberglass for nature conservation purposes.

3-Nights at African Bush Camps Khwai Leadwood, Botswana

African Bush Camps Khwai Leadwood is located within the Okavango Delta's Khwai Concession, tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. Elegantly designed, this intimate and exclusive camp boasts six standard tents and one family tent, complete with en suite bathrooms. The camp's biggest drawcard is undoubtedly its extraordinary wildlife. Your 3-night stay includes accommodation, all meals, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages except premium spirits and champagne, game drives, walking safaris, bird watching, and mokoro rides (water level dependent).

Day 4 - 7: Linyanti Concessions, Chobe Enclave, Botswana

Early morning after your breakfast and check-out, charter a scheduled flight from Khwai Leadwood Camp to African Bush Camps Linyanti Bush Camp, where you will spend 3-nights. Linyanti Bush Camp is found in the Chobe Enclave, where open floodplains, dense forests and papyrus-lined lagoons can be found. Linyanti Concessions is located between the Okavango Delta and the Chobe National Park and has therefore a high concentration of game. Your included activities are:

• Morning, afternoon and night game drives are conducted by experienced ranger/guides in open 4x4 vehicles at Linyanti, best known for large herds of elephant and buffalo. Other animals in the Linyanti Concession are lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, hippo and hyena. Be sure to experience the bush on a night game drive when nocturnal wildlife comes to life.
• Walking safaris afford you the opportunity to explore the bush on foot alongside an experienced ranger/guide (16 years and above) who will share stories about the bush and its wildlife. For your safety, walking safaris are only allowed with an armed ranger/guide and if the bush is not too thick.
• Mokoro safaris are a unique way to explore the marshlands if the water level allows. Formerly, the Mokoro canoe used to be made from indigenous trees, but today, due to nature conservation, the Mokoro canoe is made from fiberglass. Your river guide will drive the Mokoro whilst you sit back and scenic views of the marshlands and wildlife.
• From April to November, a 30-minute scenic helicopter flight is included in your stay for a bird's eye view of the pristine wilderness and a picnic in the middle of the marshes.

3-Nights at African Bush Camps Linyanti Bush Camp, Botswana

Found on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh in a private reserve in the Chobe Enclave, Linyanti Bush Camp consists of 6 luxury tents complete with comfortable double or twin beds, ensuite bathrooms, indoor showers, flush toilets, and running water. Your 3-night stay includes accommodation, all meals, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages except premium spirits and champagne, game drives, walking safaris, mokoro rides (water level dependent), and seasonal helicopter flights.

Day 7 - 10: Victoria Falls, Livingstone, Zambia

After breakfast and check out you will charter a scheduled flight from Linyanti Bush Camp to Kasane Airport. Here you will meet one of our friendly representatives who will transfer you to African Bush Camps Thorntree River Lodge. Upon your arrival at Thorntree Lodge, you will check-in and enjoy a meal before your first activity. One of the greatest highlights of our African safari tour to Botswana and Zambia must be the Victoria Falls tour on the Zambia side. Your included activities are:

• Found in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, the Victoria Falls is one of the Natural Wonders of the World, and after the rain, you can experience the Victoria Falls in all its glory. There are many ways to encounter the greatness of the Victoria Falls, including a walk along the rainforest boardwalk to enjoy a closer view of this splendid cataract or take a helicopter flight and see the Falls from a different dimension.
• Sunset river cruises from Thorntree River Lodge is an encapsulating experience, cruising down the Zambezi River at sunset is an incredibly romantic experience with sightings of African wildlife.
• Fishing expeditions can be arranged as you spend the day on the water appreciating nature whilst awaiting your catch of the day, fishing for tiger, bream or vundu.
• For those who enjoy archaeology, history, ethnography and art, a visit to Livingstone Museum can be arranged. 
• A guided short walking safari takes you on a Rhino Experience from Thorntree River Lodge is a wonderful opportunity to see the rare and endangered white rhino, who are under 24-hour protection by the rangers. 
• Guided Canoeing safaris are a relaxing way to experience paddling through the water and watching the elephants trekking through the river.
• Game Drives are led by expert game ranger/guides who delight in showing you all the magnificent wildlife the park has to offer. Sharing stories about the animals and the park as well as showing you the hidden spots for the best game viewing opportunities.

3-Nights at African Bush Camps Thorntree River Lodge, Zambia

Found in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Thorntree River Lodge is very close to the Victoria Falls and boasts 12 twin rooms with sets of interleading units. Each unit comes complete with indoor and outdoor bathrooms and luxury private plunge pools. There is a main lounge with an open dining area, a gym, Spa and small library with wifi for your convenience. A communal deck is found on the edge of the riverside with a sunken boma area and an infinity pool. Your 2-night stay includes accommodation, all meals, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages except premium spirits and champagne, walking safaris, sunset cruises, bird watching, fishing, Victoria Falls visit, Rhino experience and canoeing safaris.

Day 10: Farewell!

As our journey in Africa comes to an end after breakfast and check-out, receive a transfer from Thorntree River Lodge to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport for your onward arrangements. We bid you a fond farewell, until next time.
