Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is located on the Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains near the Ostrich Capital of South Africa known as Oudtshoorn in the Garden Route of South Africa, which is also home to the famous Cango Caves and is approximately 5 hours drive from Cape Town.

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is located in the heart of the Klein Karoo near Oudtshoorn forming part of the world famous Garden Route of South Africa. Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve is a sprawling game farm spread over pristine bushveld, lush vegetation and a 5ha dam which provides a haven for 20 game species and more than 217 bird species. From the wooden deck you can view elephants walking, hippo and fish in the water. There is a wide variety of safari activities available including game drives, meerkat safari and elephant encounters. Game Drives are available for overnight safaris as well as day visitors.
When To Go Visit Buffelsdrift?
Buffelsdrift Game Reserve is available for visiting throughout the year from January to December. We recommend a minimum of 2 nights' stay at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge for a full experience with everything the farm has to offer.
